Thank You We would like to Thank all of the children and families for a great holiday season. |

Dear Parents, Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday season. I would like to thank all of the children and parents for bringing in treats for our Christmas Party. We really enjoyed them! This month we will be learning about different types of transportation such as cars, trucks, and boats. The kids will have fun taking an imaginary car ride, digging in the sand with trucks, and building ramps for our toy cars. We will also learn about animals that live in the cold weather, how to dress warm and we’ll even get to play with snow! Happy Birthday to Collin, Clarice & Brett !
Happy New Year, Ms. Jen |

Dear Parents, Happy New Year and all the best wishes for 2012! We are anticipating a great year and would like to thank all of the parents who contributed to our holiday parties. As you know, Mrs. Shannon is now out on maternity leave. I would like to take this time to introduce myself. My name is Miss Danielle and I have worked here at Hillcrest Academy for 2.5 years, in various age groups. I am currently attending Georgian Court University in pursuit of BA in early childhood education. I have been working with your children since September and have enjoyed getting to know them. This month we will be introducing the weather and opposites. We will also be working on sensory and pretend play, which will help the children gain confidence, self-expression and a creative imagination
Happy New Year, Ms. Danielle & Ms. Stephanie |

Dear Parents, Happy 2012 Everyone!!! We hope that your holidays were especially peaceful. Thank you for your cookie decorating donations. The children enjoyed making them for their families. The children will continue to work on their letter sounds as well as letter and number recognition. They will also continue to practice writing their names. During circle time, we will start playing “sequencing” and “opposites” activities. Progress Reports will be sent home in February assessing your child’s progress. Please remember that it is a Hillcrest policy that the children go outside daily with the exception of rain, snow or extreme cold. Only a written note from your child’s doctor stating that he/she may not go outdoors is accepted to keep your child indoors.
Sincerely, Mrs. Jacki Mrs. Diana |

Keep Warm in the Winter!! |
|
Dear Parents, Happy New Year! I hope your holidays were wonderful. Thank you to all who have been very generous and thoughtful with your many treats and gifts during the holidays. December was great fun and the children enjoyed making holiday surprises for their families and learning about the many different holiday traditions. The year ahead will bring more challenges for the children, as they continue to learn their numbers and letters. We appreciate the assistance many of you have given us with the education of your children, working with your child at home helps reinforce their learning. During the month of January, your children will be evaluated on their social skills, as well as their recognition of letter and numbers and their ability to recognize and write their name. Progress reports will be given out in February. Please remember that it is a Hillcrest policy that the children go outside daily with the exception of rain, snow or extreme cold. Only a written note from your child’s doctor stating that he/she may not go outdoors is accepted to keep your child indoors.
Sincerely, Miss Maria & Miss Kim |

Dear Parents, We would like to wish everyone a very happy and healthy New Year. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. December was a very busy month. The children enjoyed their visit with Santa, as well as, the holiday party. A special thank you to all of the parents that contributed goodies for our party, without your help it would not have been such a success. During the month of January, the children will continue to work on shapes, colors, counting and cutting skills. We are working with your child so that he/she are prepared for Pre-K by the end of the year. Throughout this month, we will be making winter art projects such as snowmen, polar bears, penguins and ice cube painting. Please remember that it is a Hillcrest policy that the children go outside daily with the exception of rain, snow or extreme cold. Only a written note from your child’s doctor stating that he/she may not go outdoors is accepted to keep your child indoors.

Dear Parents, Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012! We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. We would like to thank all of our parents for making our holiday party a great success. As the weather changes, please remember to send in hats, mittens and warm coats. We will still be outside daily for our buggy ride and the walkers will play on the playground weather permitting. Our babies enjoy circle time reading our favorite stories and singing our favorite songs and don’t forget learning sign language. We will continue to work on motor skills, sitting up, crawling and walking. Some friends will be learning how to share and repeat simple words. Please remember to label everything you send to Hillcrest! Thank you. Welcome to Martin and Newby!
